Tim Shelby, a Marine Corps veteran and senior media expert with over 20 years of video production experience, has worked on projects for the Marine Corps, which include documentation of President Gerald Ford’s State Funeral and ensuing the completion of over 47 highly sensitive and timely productions including the CMC directed suicide prevention campaign, Marine Corps Marathons and a number of other events. While serving in the Marine Corps he was awarded the 2008 Combat Videographer of Year Award among a number of other Division of Public Affairs Merit Awards.
Tim edited a short film, “Cordially Invited”, for the 2013 Baltimore 48 Hour Film Project and his team took first place for best of Baltimore. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Digital Filmmaking and Video Production in February of 2014 from the Art Institute of Washington.
Tim currently owns his own production company, Triple Dynamix Productions, LLC (producing, shooting & editing) and has produced projects from music videos, congressional campaigns, weddings, documentaries and more. He has worked for Al Jazeera, PBS Newshour and is currently a staff video editor/producer for NBC News shows: Nightly News, Weekend Nightly News, The Today Show, Weekend Today Show, and Meet the Press. In 2019-2020 he was awarded an Emmy for his work on The Today Show and was also awarded the Edward R. Murrow Award for his continuing coverage of the Boeing 737 Max 8 for NBC Nightly News.
He plans to continue to edit and produce stories that impact the country and the world, working with NBC and its partners, while also taking on larger scale projects with his company, to include humanitarian work and documenting current events.
